It felt weird to start with an outside POV, but it seemed to work better at the beginning of a book than in the middle, in some ways--like an intro rather than cutting into meatier parts of the story and breaking up the normal flow of things.
I almost started with Sam as a major, since there's no Hathor incident for it to follow, but I'm keeping that in the same place in the timeline (i.e. around the time of 'Fair Game' and after 'Seth').
Teal'c and Daniel interaction will increase, though I warn it takes a few chapters before we get to their first serious conversation.
