As usual, terrific! Lya and Teal'c make such an interesting team. :-) Kasuf realizing during the chapter how much Daniel has grown, physically and emotionally and in directions different from those on Abydos (and Skaara apparently realizing that same growth in your excerpt).

The Tollans always were a bit supercilious for my tastes (although I actually learned to like Omac, or however his name was spelled, because he COULD be flexible without actually seeming to bend, and Travell wasn't as good at that), so I enjoy seeing them get the swift kick where they need it. ;-)

Well, Jack certainly was eyeing up that weapon deactivator a lot.... Foreshadowing of chapters to come? Are you setting up to have him grab something else he actually feels might be USEFUL? Or will we get to hear him mentally griping as he grabs the designated (pretty much useless, in his opinion) piece of alien technology? I guess I'll have to stay tuned to find out the answers to these and other questions! :-)
