Summary: AU. Sequel to Translations. Daniel must learn to find his place in the SGC and on Earth, but starting with an unexpectedly eventful return to Abydos, things become more complicated than anyone could have anticipated.
Spoilers: This will cover approximately the events of season 2, just as Translations approximately covered season 1. Again, information from later seasons may pop up, and there are a couple of major season 3 and season 1 episodes that migrated into the season 2 timeline in my AU.

General Notes:

This follows directly from Translations. If you didn't read the first story, you will be rather confused. The fun starts right in the first chapter.

This story will be heavier on action, expansion and deepening of relationships, and mythological speculation. Again, events sometimes fall a little out of sequence, things repeated from canon missions tend to be treated in an off-screen or missing scenes way unless it happens differently here, and aliens don't speak English without an excuse.

Wow! This is great! I love the way you take the history that we know and work it into a world that we really don't. The characters are themselves, but with very different experiences, making them all just slightly different people. Very interesting! I must say, I don't generally go for stories where the characters are different than they are in canon, especially when they are more youthful, but I have been completely won over by your characters. I can't wait for the next chapter!
